CCLEC volunteers join relief efforts to help Mindanao earthquake victims

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Volunteers of Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC) together with its parent company Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) joined relief efforts by the MVP Group of Companies to help earthquake victims in Mindanao.

CCLEC distributed hygiene kits, containing bath soap, shampoo, sanitary napkin, toothbrush, toothpaste and alcohol; and blankets (malong) in some barangays in the towns of Matanao, Magsaysay and Bansalan all in Davao del Sur last November 13, 2019.

CCLEC volunteers, together with the Smart Communications and PLDT team, also visited Disaster Operation Centers and paid courtesy calls on the mayors of the towns to assess the conditions of the affected localities and discuss possible future assistance and partnerships.

Many people are still taking temporary shelters in the evacuation centers while waiting for relocation sites after their homes have been identified to be in danger zones while others still sleep in tents put up near their houses.

Several earthquakes struck parts of Mindanao in October 2019, with three registering above 6 in the magnitude scale.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery el_id=”gallery-865330″ isotope_mode=”fitRows” medias=”79294,79295,79297,79296,79298,79302,79303,79304,79291,79292,79290,79289,79288,79316,79293″ gutter_size=”3″ screen_lg=”1000″ screen_md=”600″ screen_sm=”480″ single_overlay_opacity=”50″ single_padding=”2″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
